\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>On a brisk and clear February 28th 18 members and guest from two chapters of Back Country Horsemen of Idaho met up in the trailer parking area of Celebration Park along the Snake River.\u00a0 As the morning warmed up riders tacked up and the first of the gnats started to show-up.\u00a0 \"\"<\/a>By 10:45 we were in the saddle and starting for the Birds of Prey area.\u00a0 New members Nikita Ward and Jeremy Matthews has parked their rig in the lower parking lot and some of the riders stopped while they got their stock ready, while other riders continued on.\u00a0 As it often the case in group fun rides like this one, the group quickly divides in to a number of smaller group and in this case chose different trails.<\/p>\n

\nA group of mule riders from the Treasure Valley chapter chose a faint trail that headed up through some pretty large boulders\u00a0along the cliff side of the park.
\n\"\"<\/a>While others chose the more traveled trails meeting a number of hikers.
\n\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a>At the eastern end of the loop the group stopped at the old corrals for a stretch and a snake. A number of marmots<\/a> were sunning on the rocks.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> As the day progressed the sky became cloudy and a breeze picked up, which helped with the bugs. By 15:00 everyone was back to the trailers, stock was un-tacked and good bye said. All indicated that they enjoyed themselves and were looking forward to the next ride in March.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
